A young man popularly known as Marto, who operated an electronic shop in Mabera,kuria west has succumbed to injuries sustained during an attack by unknown assailants.
Marto was reportedly attacked at the gate of his residence about a week ago, where he suffered deep panga cuts. He was subsequently receiving medical attention in Kisii before his condition deteriorated.
The family has confirmed that Marto passed away this evening.
The circumstances surrounding the attack remain unclear, and questions are now being raised over the motive behind the incident and the identity of those responsible. Authorities are expected to investigate the matter and bring the perpetrators to justice.
